| Practically speaking, Little League is an adult, volunteer work project constructed, supervised and assisted by parents who want to extend to their children the lessons of Little League: Character * Courage * Loyalty Teamwork * Sportsmanship * Fair Play More than 300 volunteers participate in PNLL's program each year. By keeping spending on human resources to a minimum, volunteers allow the majority of PNLL's funding to be spent on purchasing new and improved equipment and on training our athletes. We cannot continue as a quality organization without our volunteers.
The Little League Parent/Volunteer Pledge I will teach all children to play fair and to do their best. I will positively support all managers, coaches and players. I will respect the decisions of the umpires. I will praise a good effort despite the outcome of the game.
