The Pleasanton City Council recognized Pleasantion National Little League winning the District 57 Minor League Tournament of Champions and the District's Little League Baseball Championship by issuing a commendation during a festive ceremony at the Pleasanton Hotel lead by Mayor Tom Pico. The proclamation was issued to commend the team members and coaches for winning their respective championships, for their dedication to their sport, and for bringing honor to themselves and their community. The AAA Giants won the District 57 Minor League Tournament of Champions on June 29 (complete story) and the PNLL 12-year old All Star team won the District 57 Little League Baseball Championship on July 13 (complete story).

In return, the PNLL AAA Giants and 12-year old All Star team thank Mayor Tom Pico, Vice Mayor Kay Ayala, and City Council members Steve Brozosky, Matthew Campbell and Jennifer Hosterman for recognizing the teams' efforts and successes.
