Tassajara American's starting pitcher quickly found out you can't hang a curve ball to Pleasanton National's Jeff Siragusa as Jeff drove the first pitch of the second inning out of the park for a 1-0 PNLL lead. You can't pitch Jeff a fastball either...
Pleasanton batted around in the second inning, scoring an additional four runs and putting runners on first and second bases before Jeff came up again. Two high, challenging fast balls went by before Jeff CRUNCHED a liner (way!) over the fence in left-center field; 8-0 PNLL on their way to a 14-4 win.

They remain in the winner’s bracket after another great win today vs. Tassajara American in 5 innings 14-4. The whole team played well and as you can see from the score everyone hit the ball very well. The defensive effort today was outstanding and the big crowd on hand today really enjoyed the game. The excitement today came from Jeff (Goose) Seragusa who hit two home runs to contribute to the win. I want to thank all those folks who came out today and let you know that the next game, which is the semi-final is on Tues. 7/13 at 5:30pm at Athans Downs #3 in San Ramon (Directions) against Livermore American. This is a very big game for PNLL and I encourage all to come out and support our team and cheer them on to victory. I want to extend my personal congratulations to the players, coaches and parents for all there effort and support. This is very exciting for PNLL to go this far in the D57 tournament and I’m looking forward to an exciting game. Please come out and watch.

They lost earlier in the week but had a very good win today over San Ramon National 4-2 as they now move there way through the loser’s bracket. As you may or may not know this is a double elimination tournament, so PNLL is still alive and well. The whole team played well on both offense and defense and again the excitement in this game came when Trevor Guerreri hit a 3 run home run to put PNLL up 3-0. San Ramon National came up with 2 runs to close the gap and PNLL added one run for the 4-2 win. I want to thank all those folks who came out today and let you know that the next game is tomorrow at 1:00pm at Livermore Junction (Directions). This is a big game and it’s against Danville and let’s get out there and cheer PNLL on again to victory. I want to extend my personal congratulations to the players, coaches and parents for all there effort and support. This is very exciting for PNLL to go this far in the D57 tournament and I’m looking forward to an exciting game. Please come out and watch.

First of all I want to congratulate the players, coaches and parents for all there effort and support of PNLL. This team played a another hard fought game against and hot hitting team from Dublin and lost there game Friday night and are no longer in the tournament. The team struggled a little bit on offense in only managing a few hits but did play well and made some really good defensive plays. I want to extend my personal congratulations to the players, coaches and parents for all there effort and support.
There’s plenty of exciting baseball left to be played and I look forward to seeing all of you out there this coming week.
