Pleasanton National Little League
Important Majors Games this Weekend
June 2, 2006

With one game (per team) left on the regular season schedule, three teams are tied for second place with 7-7 records in the Majors division. The second spot in the final standings is very important because the second place team earns a bye in the first round of the PNLL tournament. Things are even more interesting because none of the tied teams are playing eachother in their final game. The Cardinals (7-7) play the Pirates (13-1); the Cubs (7-7) play the Giants (3-11); and the Dodgers (7-7) play the Diamondbacks (5-9). If the three tied teams all win or all lose, then the Dodgers finish in second place since they will have the best won-loss record among the tied teams. Other scenarios are listed. Good luck teams!
