Pleasanton National Little LeagueImportant Majors Games this Weekend June 2, 2006 With one game (per team) left on the regular season schedule, three teams are tied for second place with 7-7 records in the Majors division. The second spot in the final standings is very important because the second place team earns a bye in the first round of the PNLL tournament. Things are even more interesting because none of the tied teams are playing eachother in their final game. The Cardinals (7-7) play the Pirates (13-1); the Cubs (7-7) play the Giants (3-11); and the Dodgers (7-7) play the Diamondbacks (5-9). If the three tied teams all win or all lose, then the Dodgers finish in second place since they will have the best won-loss record among the tied teams. Other scenarios are listed. Good luck teams!
