Batting Cage Operating Rules
- Priorities for regular weekly scheduled use reservations
- PNLL/PFLL Majors
- PNLL/PFLL AAA
- PNLL/PFLL AA
- For weekly non-reserved slots – send requests to the coordinator no later than Wednesday 9:00 pm for following week. Open slots may also occur if a reserved slot will go unused due to team schedules. Priorities for reserving regular weekly 'open' slots
- PNLL/PFLL AAA teams without regular weekly time slot
- PNLL/PFLL AA teams without regular weekly time slot
- PNLL/PFLL Majors
- PNLL/PFLL AAA teams with regular weekly time slot
- PNLL/PFLL AA teams with regular weekly time slot
- Trades and game schedule conflicts
- Coaches may trade time slots among themselves to accommodate game schedules
- Please report trade agreements to the coordinator to help avoid confusion
- Notify the coordinator no later than Wednesday 9:00 pm if following week's reservation will go unused
- Time allotments
- Maximum 90 minutes
- Vacate cage in time for next group (reserved or walkup) to start at their appointed time
- Must close cage at earlier of dusk (safety) or 8:30 pm daily
- Safety
- One batter at a time in the cage whenever machine is in use
- Batters and warm-up batters must wear a helmet
- Observers must not touch the cage (fence)
- Only coaches may be in the storage cage (space behind batter)
- No climbing on cage (inside or out)
- Final group of the day (or if no following group is present)
- Unplug and cover pitching machine
- Place all balls in the bucket
- Lock both gates
- Weather
- If the Sports Park is closed, so are the cages
