    Question #7

With one out in the bottom of the first, the home team has a runner on first and a runner on third. The batter hits a line drive at the second baseman. Quickly realizing that he can turn an easy double play, the second baseman lets the line drive hit his glove, but he intentionally drops it. He tags the runner going to second and easily throws out the batter headed to first. What's the call?

    1. The batter is declared out and the runners return to first and third.
    1. The trick worked - the runner who started on first is out and so is the batter.
    1. The batter is out on the infield fly rule and the runners return to their bases.
    1. The batter is declared out but the runners each get to advance one base (so the runner at third scores).
